A good source of vitamin E, essential fatty acids and lutein (an antioxidant that helps protect the macular in your eyes), this is a great way to use up avocados that are almost going out of date.”


  • 2 small ripe avocados (or one large one)
  • 1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon of raw, organic honey
  • 2 tablespoons of slivered almonds
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons of shredded coconut


  1. Mash avocado in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Stir in cacao, honey, chia and coconut and mix until well combined.
  3. Top with slivered almonds and mix through.
  4. Chill for 30 – 40 minutes if you can wait that long!
