“I love a good smoothie! They are a super easy and convenient way to get lots of nutrition into your body really easily and they require very little preparation. One of the biggest mistakes I see my patients make is they put way too much fruit in which causes blood sugar spikes and energy dips. This smoothie is the perfect combination of fruit and veggies and will keep you feeling full until lunch time!”

Ingredients

  • 1 mango
  • 1 kiwi fruit
  • 1 stalk of celery (including the leaves)
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber
  • 1 bunch of bok choy
  • 1 tablespoon of maca powder
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • Coconut water

Method

  1. Scrape the flesh from the mango and kiwi fruit into a blender.
  2. Roughly chop greens and add to the blender.
  3. Add in maca powder and chia seeds.
  4. Cover with coconut water (the amount you add will vary depending on how thick you like it).
  5. Blitz until smooth.
  6. Consume straight away for maximum health benefits!
